La Ponche, the legendary hotel in Saint-Tropez

Taken over by Chapitre Six, a firm known for breathing new life into long-dormant properties, architect Fabrizio Casiraghi gave this hotel—located near the famous Ponche Beach, which once epitomized the heyday of this legendary Var village—a major facelift in 2020.

A top-secret hideaway for an intimate Saint-Tropez experience

A family atmosphere permeates the 21 rooms of this establishment, where one could almost swear that Françoise Sagan, Romy Schneider, Kenzo, or Michèle Morgan—regulars here—might reappear at any moment. Each room is named after one of these famous guests who have left their mark on the place.
Seeing another side of this legendary village in this neighborhood, imbued with a rare magic and timelessness, all while being so close to the village center, is truly memorable.
Located at the tip of the village’s old fishing port, known as La Ponche, the hotel now writes a new chapter each season, hosting retreats dedicated to the arts and well-being starting in October—ranging from writing residencies to yoga retreats—and annually awards the Lrix Littéraire de la Ponche. From fishermen to literature, there is the Hôtel de la Ponche.
