YNDŌ Hotel, a singular culture of hospitality in Bordeaux

In Bordeaux, an atypical hotel with a contemporary design turns hospitality on its head!

Housed for over 10 years in a 19th-century mansion, YNDŌ has inaugurated 8 rooms and suites, decorated by Agnès Guiot du Doignon, the charming owner of the premises. More than just a beautiful Bordeaux stopover, a destination in its own right.

An innovative hotel concept with a distinctive style, combining design, generosity and luxury

In the heart of Gironde's Golden Triangle, YNDŌ is a refined oasis, a mise en abyme of Bordeaux's understated elegance... blown apart by the iconoclastic eye of Agnès Guiot du Doignon.
A visionary entrepreneur, always on the lookout for a new challenge, she speaks several languages here: that of international design, arts and crafts, 5-star hospitality and the memory of place. A non-conformist vision of the hotel business. Here, each room is a work of art in its own right, imagined instinctively, according to inspiration and adapted to the volumes of the space. Uniformity has no place at YNDŌ, an innovative hotel concept she calls "génélux", a contraction of generosity and luxury, which Agnès can't imagine going one without the other, or the magic of a classic human-scale residence endowed with fine, direct and personalized service.

A hotel-gallery like no other

Beyond the classic, majestic porch, there's nothing to suggest the unusual spirit of the place... While Agnès has chosen to preserve as much of the historic residence as possible, restoring the structure damaged by years of neglect, she dares to be impertinent, inviting a host of designers with a contemporary soul. In the small salon, the wise woodwork has been retouched by painter Anne Gomez, in a most delightful mauve tye and dye. Hubert Le Gall's "Baleine" armchairs converse with the "Grinza" by the Campana brothers for Edra. Here, objects by Tom Dixon or Marcel Wanders; here, a sublime Autoban table.
In the common areas, each sculpture, each piece of furniture, each material creates an arty universe. God is in the details.

Surprising rooms that never leave you indifferent

The same applies to the bedrooms, where creativity and refinement are the hallmarks of contemporary luxury behind heavy doors. Each of the twelve rooms and suites has a surprisingly strong personality. An avid designer, Agnès mixes Murano glass-blown chandeliers (Vistosi family) with a Campana raffia four-poster bed; seventies lamps with an Antonio Lupi bathtub... in extraordinary comfort.
Today, eight new rooms and suites enhance this little jewel of hotel elegance. And Agnès has called on new talents to dramatize these spaces. William Guillon, a young designer from Bordeaux, whose work is rooted in an innovative exploration of traditional craftsmanship.
Specializing in collectible accessories, and exhibited around the world, Guillon has created mirrors, a chandelier and a bench for Agnès, all in his favorite material, cast bronze.

A multi-sensory venue that's a sight to behold

We also marvel at the luminous paper poems by Sophie Mouton-Perrat and Frédéric Guibrenet, the superb door handles by Agnès Cambus and Manuel Bonnemazou, the explosive upcycled carbon fiber furniture by Bénédicte Lull from the Belull publishing house...
Iconic design, works of art, delightful gastronomy (reserved for hotel guests), and luxurious hospitality: it's hard to really define this multi-sensory place, which we leave with regret!
