Hana Hotel: A Japanese Getaway in Paris
What if Paris took a trip to Japan? That was the initial idea of star interior designer Laura Gonzalez when she began working on this 26-room hotel project located just steps from the Paris Opera, right in the heart of the Japanese quarter.
The Hana Hotel has just received the prestigious Prix de Versailles, awarded to the world’s most beautiful hotels, in the Interior Design category.

Blending Japanese minimalism with the atmosphere of Paris’s Belle Époque, an interior design recently honored with the prestigious Prix de Versailles
A heartfelt tribute to the Land of the Rising Sun, where the hotel celebrates the art of living through subtle, elegant touches and inspirations drawn from materials and patterns, creating an atmosphere that strikes a perfect balance between refined minimalism reminiscent of Kyoto’s ryokans and Parisian Belle Époque style.
We can’t resist the hotel’s spa , which has partnered with the Lymfea Instituteto offer a menu of treatments inspired by Japanese wellness rituals. Come evening, we happily take a seat at the Hanabi restaurant-bar for a top-notch fusion dinner, including a Camembert tempura with aonori and tangy yuzu jam that transports us straight to Mount Fuji, via Normandy.
