The story of Chapitre Six, the band that breathes new life into forgotten gems
An independent hotel group that sets its own style
Chapitre Six is the new name of the hotel group founded by Nicolas Saltiel—just like the new chapter he writes for each location he chooses. Chapitre Six’s eight locations all share a special talent: the ability to transport guests to new places in a unique way, always with a touch of surprise.
From Paris to Antibes, via Saint-Tropez and Megève, Plume tells the saga of this family story: an epic that is far from reaching its “end,” as the legendary Bus Palladium transformed into a five-star boutique hotel.

Nicolas Saltiel loves telling new stories: those of legendary venues, sleeping beauties that he brings back to life, such as La Ponche in Saint-Tropez or, soon, the Bus Palladium in Paris.
Entrepreneurship is in Nicolas Saltiel’s blood. His grandfather, founder of “Saltiel Assurances,” passed the torch to Hubert Saltiel, who in turn founded an insurance company in 2005: AssurOne. He is also credited with launching delivery companies long before the industry giants emerged, and steering the family group toward the hospitality and restaurant sector.
It is undoubtedly this knack for sniffing out future trends that drives Nicolas Saltiel, Hubert’s son, to develop boutique hotels under the “Monsieur” brand (such as Monsieur Aristide or Monsieur Georges in Paris).
In 2016, he founded the Adresses Hotel collection, driven by a desire to revitalize luxurious properties by giving them a second life.
From Paris to the French Riviera, the young man has made his mark on the hospitality industry: that of “quiet luxury” without excess. In 2024, the company was renamed Chapitre Six, in homage to the lucky number he shares with his father, who passed away in 2022. A name change that marks a new chapter in the career of the man who will turn 40 in 2026.
The strengths of the Chapter Six tribe
“Chapter Six goes to great lengths to ensure that every journey is an experience that awakens the senses, leaves a lasting impression, and becomes a part of each guest’s personal story,” says Nicolas Saltiel.“What other meaning could we give to our work as hoteliers, if not to mark every visit with a memory that endures over time?”
A memory that unfolds for every guest within settings designed by the finest architects selected by the group’s founder, including the talented Fabrizio Casiraghi, Anouska Hempel, Laura Gonzalez, and Stéphanie Lizée. The latter has reimagined the 20 rooms of the Parisian Hôtel des Académies et des Arts as true artists’ studios, for one of the secrets to Chapitre Six’s success lies in its ability to entrust the right project to the right person.

Hana Hotel: A Japanese Getaway in Paris
What if Paris took a trip to Japan? That was the initial idea of star interior designer Laura Gonzalez when she began working on this 26-room hotel project located just a stone’s throw from the Paris Opera, right in the heart of the Japanese quarter. The Hana Hotel has just received the prestigious Prix de Versailles, awarded to the most beautiful hotels in

La Ponche, the legendary hotel in Saint-Tropez
Taken over by Chapitre Six, a company known for breathing new life into dormant gems, architect Fabrizio Casiraghi gave this hotel—located near the famous Ponche Beach, which once epitomized the golden days of the legendary Var village—a major facelift in 2020. An ultra-exclusive retreat for an intimate Saint-Tropez experience. The family-friendly atmosphere is evident in the 21 rooms

Stéphane Durand and Plume Opened in the spring of 2023, this boutique hotel quickly established itself as one of the leading establishments on the French Riviera, thanks both to the minimalist decor of its 35 rooms and its beach-inspired cuisine by Assaf Granit.
