The Lavorel Hotels tribe
3 signature hotels across France
From Lyon to Courchevel, via Annecy and Paris, Jean-Claude Lavorel is at the helm of a hotel house with addresses as luxurious as they are refined and practical, redefining the codes of business travel. Introducing a man who knows how to do it all.
A true jack-of-all-trades, Jean-Claude Lavorel has no time for labels. Self-taught, nothing predestined the founder of Lavorel Hotels to pursue a career in hospitality. In 1989, he founded LVL Médical, a company specializing in home medical care. A native of Rillieux-la-Pape, in the Lyon metropolitan area, he makes no secret of his passion for entrepreneurship. He fell in love with the La Potinière restaurant in Courchevel and decided in 2008 to transform it into a hotel. He describes this first project as "a stroke of luck," but it reminded him how much he loves taking care of others. He left the care sector for good when he sold his medical company in 2012 and devoted himself entirely to the hotel business when he decided to acquire the Château de Bagnols, a five-star establishment located in the Beaujolais region. Since then, Jean-Claude Lavorel has acquired 11 establishments scattered between Lyon, Courchevel, and Paris, all of which have one thing in common: they offer an uncomplicated vision of luxury.

Le Kopster Porte de Versailles
After Lyon and Colombes, Le Kopster Porte de Versailles is the latest four-star establishment from Kopster. Opened in 2024, it takes its name from avid sports fans, known as "kop," proving that the hotel group welcomes its guests with the same intense fervor as on the field. The "home away from home" spirit is reflected in the artistic choices of interior designer Éric Boyer, who has created a decor for this latest addition where plants, animal prints, and vintage objects form a winning combination. The warm and friendly atmosphere can be found in both the common areas and the hotel's 126 rooms, some of which have terraces offering views of Paris. Aimed at both business travelers and savvy tourists, the hotel offers a buffet breakfast with an express option for guests in a hurry.
