Alixia's bar corner: Prescription in Paris, an insider's secret on the Left Bank
A very discreet bar, he is known only by word of mouth and reveals himself for PLUME .
You need to know the place, and pass through a discreet door. Le Prescription is housed in an apartment in the 6th arrondissement of Paris. And the address is a well-kept secret.
Long, thick curtains, red velvet details, candles as a source of light, small coffee tables arranged like alcoves. It's when night falls that the bar bursts into life. After skirting the marble counter, the tables at the back of the room, on the first floor, are best placed. It's here that we dominate the space, right in the mixologist's sweet spot, as he teaches us his cocktail language. The Moon and the Chariot are the cards we draw, and they become a delicate beverage that we break down to guess its ingredients. Next door, two friends chat and laugh out loud; behind them, a couple curled up on the cushions murmur sweet exchanges. Words merge into effervescent gibberish and fade away under the jazz tunes. The wooden floor creaks as you move around the second floor, where small boudoirs host other tables and - larger - sofas. Described as "the theater of many surprises", the seat at the back next to the barman gives you a bird's-eye view. We surrender to the charm of the place, whose spirit recalls that of a hushed English gentlemen's club or backstage at a show, just before going on stage.
