Sustainable luxury at L'Eden Roc Astona in Switzerland
What if elegance took to the high seas? On the fragrant shores of Lake Maggiore, Eden Roc Ascona hoists high the sails of a luxury as conscious as it is refined.

Fall back in love in a romantic and sustainable hotel in Switzerland
Whether it's called Lago Maggiore or Lago Verbano because of the verbena that colonizes its shores, Lake Maggiore proves that it remains one of the most imposing and beautiful lakes in the Alps. The proof is in the shape of one of its jewels on the Swiss side, the Eden Roc Ascona, which has just been given a facelift following an intense renovation program lasting over seven months. This was necessary to revitalize the decor of its 95 rooms, while at the same time enabling it to become one of the region's most environmentally virtuous establishments. Ticino architects Fiorenzo Tresoldi and Carlo Rampazzi imagined the main building as a modern sailboat gliding on the waves, with large bay windows offering sublime lake views. In terms of heating and air conditioning, the new energy supply of the establishment makes it CO₂ neutral thanks to the combined use of the natural temperature of the lake waters, groundwater and solar energy. A unique setting that appeals to the very best, starting with Michelin-starred chef Marco Campanella who, at the helm of La Brezza, will prove to you that he has not demerited his two Michelin stars, while also being named Chef of the Year 2025 by the Swiss Gault&Millau.
