In the verdant department of Maine-et-Loire, near the town of Clefs, are five tiny houses that blend in perfectly with their wooded surroundings. These eco-lodges, although easily transportable, are tucked away in the shade of pines and oaks, to surround themselves with nature, with these five tiny houses answering to the sweet names of Kumquat or Quetsche.
Our favorite? La Plume, decorated in a light, bohemian spirit. A mini haven of peace where beauty rhymes with ecology, as certified organic hygiene products are available. And while it's great to explore these wooded regions by bike, which can be hired from the estate, you can also indulge in the joys of yoga with a professional coach, while savouring dishes concocted on site, such as nantiflette : a tartiflette with curé nantais potatoes and smoked sausage, or tasty duck rillettes with preserved lemon... not forgetting the rillettes so dear to Anjou, accompanied by seasonal vegetables to munch on.
