Character and materials for the new cocktails at bar 1802
1802, FRANCE'S FINEST RUM BAR PRESENTS ITS NEW MENU
Le 1802 is the place to be for experts, collectors and rum connoisseurs. Known as the leading specialist in France and recognized the world over, the rum bar boasts a precious collection of rare flasks and promises a vast choice for connoisseurs.
This week, it unveils a new cocktail menu, concocted with meticulousness and mischief by two enthusiasts, Donovan Chouari and Paul-Antoine Herbet, who were inspired by the premises to create 12 astonishing beverages, named Les Matières.
An opportunity to rediscover the Hotel Monte Cristo, a member of the Hôteliers Impertinents and its bar in homage to Alexandre Dumas, born in...1802!

The largest selection of rums with 1600 references
Drawing on the bar's collection of 1,600 rums - a rare collection that elevates the 1802 bar to the pinnacle of tasting and connoisseurship in the world of spirits - the young duo, Donovan Chouari and Paul-Antoine Herbet, like alchemists, combine rum with original and daring compositions, inspired by the materials present in the bar. Their interpretations of leather, glass, ceramics, wicker, porcelain and plant materials reproduce the idea and impression of the material on the palate, giving each beverage a special touch that complements the farandole of creations.
A total of 12 cocktails have been imagined and crafted with infinite care, thanks to a pertinent selection of suppliers who are experts in their field. Presented in attractive, custom-made containers, these precious cocktails are to be enjoyed with an elegant gesture, taking one's time.
Beautiful and good at the same time, and to be consumed with moderation!
