Le Grand Mazarin: the soul of the Marais, five-star version
For its first hotel in Paris, Maisons Pariente has set up shop in the heart of the Marais, a historic and vibrant neighborhood that embodies both the elegance of old Paris and the creative effervescence of today.

First Parisian hotel of the Maison Pariente tribe
It is here, at the corner of Rue de la Verrerie and Rue des Archives, that Le Grand Mazarin stands, an eclectic, flamboyant, and resolutely arty 5-star hotel. Entrusted to British designer Martin Brudnizki, the decor humorously and elegantly revisits the codes of French classicism: tapestry canopy beds, herringbone parquet floors, antique furniture, oversized rugs, and poetic frescoes create a theatrical yet warm atmosphere in the hotel's 61 rooms and suites, some of which have private balconies. A cross between a hotel, a museum, and a trendy art gallery, art is omnipresent: frescoes by Jacques Merle on the ceiling of the incredible underground swimming pool, installations by Sophia Pega, works selected by curator Amélie du Chalard... Le Grand Mazarin engages with contemporary artists, while remaining true to the tradition of the Marais literary salons. The establishment is also a place of life, culture, and conviviality. The Boubalé restaurant, a culinary tribute to the Ashkenazi and Levantine roots of its founders, combines tradition and a sense of sharing in a Byzantine-inspired setting. It's as if Paris has transported us to the land of One Thousand and One Nights.
