La Compagnie des Vins Surnaturels becomes La Compagnie Saint Germain
A new look and a new name for the wine-lovers' rendezvous
Created by Experimental Group, the well-known Parisian wine bar welcomes back its clientele on rue Lobineau and has been renamed La Compagnie Saint Germain, following a complete makeover in the same vein as its New York brother, La Compagnie Wine Bar.
The new decor, designed by Dorothée Meilichzon, adds a touch of New York to this showcase for connoisseurs of fine wines, which boasts over 900 references.
The wine bar in the heart of Saint Germain still stands out for its chic, hushed atmosphere, its speak-easy ambience and its menu of meticulously selected products. A well-known rendezvous for epicureans, it has just opened its doors to a brand-new decor.
The lounges feature zebra-orange banquettes, graphic armchairs, a wooden counter and raw materials that blend perfectly with the contemporary furniture.
The style is distinctive, the lounges intimate, the atmosphere enhanced by subdued lighting. Dorothée Meilichzon, who has created an original signature that is well recognized in many of the Experimental group's establishments, such as Hôtel des Grands Boulevards in Paris, Le Palazzo Experimental in Venice andHotel Montesol Experimental in Ibiza, has succeeded in keeping a familiar touch for regulars, while matching the new style of the bars recently launched by the group, inspired by the identity of its New York counterpart La Compagnie Wine Bar-Flatiron, inaugurated this summer.
The bar menu, run by seasoned sommeliers, features over 900 wine references, designed with passion by both small and large producers. To accompany these carefully selected bottles, top-quality charcuterie and local cheeses, croque-monsieur with truffle, fennel sausage, candied vegetables, burrata, cecina with hazelnut slivers: all these tasty products are a perfect match for the wines. A gustatory interlude to discover or rediscover over a fine vintage, on the outskirts of Marché Saint Germain.
