The Hôtel du Couvent
A haven of peace in the hills above Nice
In Nice, in the heights of the old town, the Hôtel du Couvent has opened its doors as a charming 5-star hotel. With its air of a monastic retreat, the new establishment created by the Perseus group offers a peaceful setting in its renovated buildings for travelers in search of serenity.

A hotel housed in the grounds of a former convent
Surrounded by olive and apricot trees, a garden abounding in 300 plant species over 1 hectare, the three former buildings of the Poor Clare sisters have been renovated and embellished with a fourth construction made of materials in harmony with the original site. Behind the high walls, a welcoming estate conceived by Valéry Gréco, head of Perseus, with the help of Studio Mumbai and Studio Méditerranée for the architecture.
The program includes wellness and relaxation at the spa, with its atypical thermal bath circuit, a veritable place of tranquillity. The Mouvement studio offers dance and yoga sessions.
The Hôtel du Couvent de Nice features 88 rooms, from monastic-style Fernsten-designed 45m2 to 166 m2 apartments opening onto a private garden. The ecclesiastical charm of the place blends with the modernity of the renovations.
At weekends, the doors open onto the garden to welcome producers and offer an open-air market to showcase local produce.
Just like the hotel's seasonal table, which is only supplied by the nearby estate farm and the produce from the vast kitchen garden
For Valery Gréco, director of Perseus, "Having our own farm also means being part of a living ecology. Controlling produce, protecting the soil and local know-how, building menus according to the seasons..."
Happiness is in Nice.
