The family-owned OKKO Hotels group celebrates its 10th anniversary this year. Ahead of the 2025 opening of a new hotel on the forecourt of Troyes station, we look back at the creation of a new four-star model for which proximity rhymes with comfort and hospitality.
Don't talk to Olivier Devys about retirement when, in 2007, he decided to found his own hotel brand at the age of 55. Proving that "there's no point in running, you have to start on time", the man who, at the time, had just left the Accor group after fifteen years of loyal service, revolutionized the hotel world. His previous experience earned him a close friendship with former Accor group chairman Paul Dubrule, with whom he decided to join forces to build a new hotel empire. Trained as an engineer, Olivier Devys takes a fresh look at the French local hotel industry, convinced that its future lies in part in an urban offering, right in the heart of the city. Accompanied by his daughter Solenne, in charge of communications, he came up with a concept where rooms remain compact, with a focus on warm, designer communal areas offering guests a personalized welcome.
