La Bastide de Marie: Nature at Its Best
Deep in the hills of the Luberon, where Provence reveals its most beautiful secrets, lies a bucolic hamlet called La Bastide de Marie.

La Bastide de Marie is located in Ménerbes, which is listed among the "Most Beautiful Villages of France"
Combining beauty and fine dining, La Bastide de Marie is located in Ménerbes, a small village in the heart of the Luberon region in Vaucluse, ranked among the most beautiful villages in France. And since it’s not just about looks, this estate—a creation of Maisons & Hotels Sibuet—also charms with its size, as the grounds span nearly thirty hectares.
Nestled among the vineyards and gardens, the vast permaculture vegetable garden is brimming with fruits, vegetables, edible flowers, and aromatic herbs. These treasures of the earth form the foundation of the chef’s cuisine, the house herbal teas, and the Pure Altitude beautytreatments. Once harvested, they are immediately processed and transformed in the large farm-laboratory nestled in the heart of the vineyards: a building with sleek, contemporary architecture, partially underground, dedicated to producing the estate’s olive oil and honey, as the estate is home to hundreds of olive trees and some twenty beehives. This culinary laboratory also serves as a place to prepare vinegars and infusions that elevate Chef François Martin’s dishes, to be enjoyed on the terrace under the shade of a century-old linden tree. A setting to be savored day and night, as the estate features about fifteen cottages and five villas bearing the sweet names of Grenache, Syrah, or Vermentino. This charming hotel in Provence is a true Provençal hamlet that has all the makings of a little paradise.
